Big Salty Shooting Range is an action shooting range and is part of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Lee Kay Public Shooting Range.   The Big Salty Range is managed by the Salt Lake Practical Shooting Association (SLPSA) as the UDWR concessionaire.  Located in Salt Lake City at 6000 West and 2100 South. Big Salty is used by United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), United Multigun League (UML), NRL22, and other clubs in the area. The range has fourteen bays ranging from 12x15 and 20x25 yards, to a 12x75 yard and two 100 yard bays.  The Big Salty Range is open to the public for training classes in each of the participating clubs' sports in addition to shooting-related classes and a weekly steel match during warmer weather.  The Big Salty Range through it's member clubs hosts State and Area Championship matches bringing national and international world class competitors to the range.  Please contact us if you need further information.

Big Salty is the premier SASS venue on the Wasatch front, with cowboy town facades and props in several bays and several active SASS clubs hosting matches on most weekends.  NRL22 matches are held on the 2nd Saturday, USPSA matches are held on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays, a UML three gun match on the 4th Saturday with a SCSA Steel Challenge match the next day on Sunday.  Several other clubs hold various matches on available range days.

Directions from Salt Lake City:
Head west on 2100 South (Route 201)
North on 5600 West, to the 1st light at 1730 South
Turn Left (West) and follow the frontage road around to the South
The range entrance will be the first right after the curve South.
Go through the gate, turn right
Then left and follow the road to the parking lot.
