Big Salty Range is dedicated to shooting clubs that host matches for USPSA, SCSA, SASS, NRL22, & Rimfire Challenge competitions. The range is NOT open to the public, however the clubs that host matches on the range are open to public participation.
RO status will only be granted after your application is reviewed and approved. In general you must have a history of successfully completing six matches in six months with a member club or club in the same sport if you are new to the area. Please submit your BSRO application for review.
The Range rules can be found here. Rules specific to each sport can be found for USPSA matches, Steel Challenge, Rimfire Challenge, NRL22, and UML.
Private events, such as classes, matches, training, etc. can be held at Big Salty, pending approval after submitting the Event application to events@bigsalty.org. Proof of insurance with Big Salty Range as co-insured is required for events.
The Big Salty Range is managed by the Salt Lake Practical Shooting Association (SLPSA) as the UDWR concessionaire. The Range Committee oversees the operations of the range.
